Getting Involved
From sasCommunity
sasCommunity.org is different!
Its content is based on the premise that you, the user will contribute the content. The new Web (also known as Web 2.0) can be thought of as a shared canvas where every splash of paint contributed by one user provides a richer tapestry for the next user to modify or build on. Whether people are creating, sharing or socializing, the new Web is principally about participating rather than about passively receiving information. We invite you to:
- Add technical articles to the Sasopedia to share your knowledge that would be useful to other users of SAS software.
- Fill out information in the User Groups section about groups you are affiliated with.
- Add Events that you think might be of interest to other users.
- Write a book review about relevant books.
- Be creative – start things that we have not thought about.
- Write a blog about your SAS adventures.
- See if you can improve on what others have already written.
The success of sasCommunity.org rests on YOU. Participate and tell others to join you as we all strive to accomplish more using SAS. There are lots of ways that you can volunteer and help the sasCommunity.org project:
- Volunteer as a Gardener as described by Statprof in his Blog.
- Keep an eye on the list of Categories that pages have been tagged with that don't exist.
- Some are typos.
- Some can get merged with other categories.
- Some are due to misunderstandings.
- Help us do something like the Wikipedia Tip of the Day.
- Tips about using the Wiki.
- Tips about using SAS.
- and so on, and so on, . . . .
- Make suggestions and followup on the suggestions already found in Talk to Us.
- Keep an eye on the list of Categories that pages have been tagged with that don't exist.
The success of sasCommunity.org rests on you and all of your colleagues!
